Combatant Craft Heavy Mark 2

Capability Collaboration Event

27 – 28 March 2019

Must RSVP NLT 20 March

U.S. Citizens Only

On 27 – 28 March, SOFWERX, in collaboration with USSOCOM PEO-Maritime and PM-Surface Systems, will host a Capability Collaboration Event focused on assessing the current state-of-the-art, industrial capability to design a new craft, or modify an existing design, to meet the requirements for the Combatant Craft Heavy Mark 2 (CCH Mk 2). Participants will be given an opportunity to collaborate with Government, Industry, Academic, and Laboratory partners to further understand the needs of PEO-Maritime and PM-Surface Systems. This event is open to U.S. Citizens only.

CCH Mk-2 General Capabilities

The CCH Mk 2 will be a specialized platform with survivability in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF) core tasks primarily involving the insertion and extraction of military personnel along with the launching and recovery of specialized military hardware.

The CCH Mk 2 is expected to be a diesel-powered craft capable of open ocean transit and well deck interoperability with the ability to insert and extract SOF forces and host, clandestinely launch, and recover smaller manned and unmanned surface and subsurface systems. For industry partners with existing designs, USSOCOM anticipates modifications will be required to address specialized applications such as survivability, payload launch and recovery, munitions, and command and control, communications, computers, cyber-defense, combat systems, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C6ISR) systems.
